大家都說很多國家進軍東南亞，又到底來泰國投資多少呢？
來看看這則泰國投資委員會Thailand Board of Investment (BOI)新聞，足見外國投資泰國的規模大小：
- 2023年全年泰國外國企業投資申請額達五年新高，總值8,483億泰銖（約240億美元），比去年增長43%，主因是大型外資專案帶動。
- 泰國投資促進委員會（BOI）報告指出，外國直接投資（FDI）增幅達72%，中國、新加坡、美國、日本和台灣在電子、汽車供應鏈等重點領域的投資貢獻顯著。
- BOI已批准四項重大投資申請，包括數據中心、輪胎用鋼絲製造及工業蒸汽生產，顯示泰國FDI成長前景樂觀，預期2024年持續成長。
泰國員工的四大特性
一般外國廠商到泰國設公司後，時常因為泰國員工特性與台灣員工不同，產生高離職率，或職場上有誤解，工作事項推進很緩慢；瞭解泰國同事的這幾個特性，搭配適當管理績效方法，可以讓泰國事業部事半功倍！
1. 朋友介紹的同事多
一開始進公司時未察覺，經過一段時間後發現，泰國同事間很多彼此是大學同學、親戚、朋友等，所以公司內小圈圈很多。
有時親戚間喜慶等事情，一群關係匪淺的人就會在同一時間請假，甚至離職可能也選同一時間離開；也有許多夫妻在同一家公司上班，一同上下班。
2. 獎賞、懲處，處處考慮人情
職場上，大家都在乎升遷機會、加薪、獎金，也盡可能避免被懲處、降薪；雖然薪水獎金等嚴格被列為保密資訊，但因為泰國人個性樂於分享，很難保守機密，基本上什麼人加薪、誰被扣薪，泰國同事間很快就會傳開，所以主管在分配獎金時，都會盡可能地達到公平，以免破壞人際關係。
另外在懲處、資遣時，泰籍主管還會考慮當事人家庭經濟關係，盡可能地給予機會，非迫不得已，絕不資遣或降薪水。
3. 有目標意識，但不易達標
每分工作一定會有目標、KPI考核，泰國同事大多也很上進、想達標，期望將每件事情在一定時間內做好；然而大部分公司內部專案都需要跨部門合作，免不了需要不斷跟催、施壓，才能在規劃時限內達成專案目標！
而性格溫和、害羞的泰國人相當不擅長跟催、施壓這部分，即便知道期限快到了，但知道對方工作繁忙，或家中有要事等，就不會太過嚴格地要求同事，因此導致許多項目拖延；
這時身為主管或專案負責人，最好盡快介入，即時協助專案推進，不然很高的機會項目進度大幅影響。
4. 家庭朋友關係擺第一
泰國人非常重視家人、朋友，甚至與”前輩”關係，家人當然擺在第一位，遇到朋友聚會，或需要幫忙時，泰國同事也都很可能先拋下自己手頭上的工作，優先處理朋友的要事；
再來”前輩”也是泰國人很注重的關係，若後輩表現好有升遷機會，但前面有資歷較久的前輩，多數泰國人仍會選擇讓前輩先上位，避免升遷後管理不了前輩或尷尬氣氛。
以上幾點是個人多年來在泰國，任職幾個公司觀察到的現象，不代表所有泰國人／公司狀態，提供有意來泰國工作發展的朋友／公司參考！
