為什麼日本人想到海外工作
日本／西方文化影響
日本人思想受西方文化影響，許多人開始崇尚自由，不願意待在日本那種氣氛嚴肅、加班過多的日式公司文化裡；再者，日本人現在也跟台灣及許多其他國家的人一樣，想到外面試試自己的能耐，還有，日本有許多想增進自身語文能力的人，選擇到海外工作，對他們而言是一個很好的語言學習環境。
日企經營趨勢
最近海外日企正在歷經戰略轉型，推動人才本地化。日本年輕人也對「新當地雇用」趨之若鶩，收入既不低於日本，同時在海外的日企工作，升遷就比在日本本國快，還享有比在日本超高時工作外的生活餘裕。
日本經濟發展憂慮
最後是，過去近20年，日本經濟不好，20-30歲的日本年輕人，對日本的前景感到不安，因此普遍願意投資語言／專業能力，積極找尋海外發展的機會
為什麼日本人選擇泰國外派
工作方面
由於許多日本公司來泰國設廠，因此在日本就先找到派駐泰國的工作，或直接在泰國當地找日本公司工作的機會很多；
生活機能上
泰國已有許多日本村、日系超市等，(位於Thong Lor & Ekamai區)，甚至還有許多日本人開設的卡拉OK等店，對日本人而言泰國生活難度不大，簡直就跟日本一樣，不太會產生離家遠想家的糾結；
外加曼谷是超級便利的大都市，比日本東京外的其他地區生活機能更優質便利，這點也很吸引日本人來泰國
物價水準
曼谷新大樓25樓的豪華公寓，租金2-2.5萬銖/月，很實惠
當然最後，物價也是很重要的一環，日本人只要在日本工作幾年，存一些錢後，來泰國可以撐很久，在泰國慢慢學習泰文、認識泰國文化，再慢慢尋找適合的工作，對日本人來說是遊刃有餘，經濟壓力小很多，有更多時間可以做好外派準備。

日本人來泰國外派後的感想
交友圈擴大
首先，跟所有外派的人一樣，日本人還是會遇到建立交友圈的問題，大多日本人是先想辦法認識同國籍的人開始，再慢慢拓展到泰國人、外國人交友圈上；在泰國，想學習日文的人相當多，因此日本人要交到泰國朋友非常的容易，參加語言交換、meetup泰日文化group就都能交到朋友。

高級生活享受
泰國物價非常便宜，日本人平常在日本時，較捨不得去的酒吧、KTV、或高檔餐廳….等高消費享受，一到了泰國，跟日本比起來就非常非常便宜，因此日本人生活在泰國娛樂品質提升許多，過得很舒服。
步調變慢，生活品質提升
泰國最出名的就是悠閒、步調慢，對於追求效率、積極向上的日本人來說，不用多久工作就能輕鬆上手，因此日本來在泰國外派，幾乎天天都準時下班，可以悠哉地享受下班後的生活，生活品質大大提高。
