As the name suggests, water defines Waterside. Compared with Plantation and Old Course, the closing three holes use water as the theme, testing offline shots and short-game control.

Gentle fairway curves, shallow bunkers and sloped greens. Palm-lined fairways and hedged tees offer varied challenges for all levels.
Compared with other Pattaya courses, Phoenix Gold has less water, mostly in the Lake nine. The shortest of the three nines, its hazards are small ponds. Hole 8 is a tough par-4 dogleg needing two precise shots.
